Edible Economy Project

Logo and collateral for a grant-funded initiative to bring together the area’s sustainable food entities to build the first Central Illinois food hub. Edible Economy needed an identity and a brand that would speak to both stakeholders and farmers, plus represent them well as they applied for grants and attracted donors.

We developed a modern logomark for the group that referenced vegetables, the yin-yang concept of interconnectedness, infinity, and the coming together of two facets. The organization’s goals include education and outreach initiatives, plus recruiting of new buyers and sustainable farmers. The identity is flexible enough to grow with the organization, and simple enough to allow interpretation.
